Mitch Trubisky

North Carolina

Quarterback

6’3” 220

Notes:

  • Consensus top QB in a weak QB draft
  • Consensus #2 pick to San Francisco
  • Ironically considered 3rd best QB in ACC behind Clemson’s Deshaun Watson and Louisville’s Lamar Jackson
  • Dual threat QB, but will probably settle in as a mobile QB like Rodgers
  • An inch taller than Rodgers
  • Accurate: 68.0% completion rate
  • 6/1 TD/Interception ratio, Rodgers is currently best in NFL at 4.12
  • Not much college experience dropping back from under center, think Manning in Denver
  • Opponents should blitz the rookie quarterback until he proves he react to blitzes
  • Will have better career if taken later in draft to a solid team and is allowed to mature, again, think Rodgers

Myles Garrett

Texas A&M

Defensive End

6’5” 270

Notes:

  • NFL.com compares him to Julius Peppers
  • Hyper-speed rusher with superior agility, if you couldn’t tell from video
  • Could have problems with faster NFL OTs
  • Injured knee this season, played in 11 games only started 9
  • Consensus #1 pick in 8 of 10 mock drafts
  • Played in SEC against NFL potential and future first rounder Cam Robinson
  • Not your first choice as a run stopper
  • Not switched on all the time, think Clowney
  • Biggest threat to #1 pick is Jared Allen, DE Alabama
  • If drafted by Cleveland (talent vacuum) won’t be seen on SportsCenter that often
  • Needs to find motivation to play hard every play, even on a hopeless team
